The Pacific EMIS supports a number of ways to extract data data for further analysis. One such method is through the use of Microsoft Power Query which extracts the data from the Pacific EMIS REST API and loads it into Microsoft Excel (and/or Microsoft Power BI). The easiest way is to download “refresh-able” excel workbooks from within the Pacific EMIS.

When running the workbook for the first time you may encounter harmless errors which can be solved as follows.

Open the Excel workbook. From the menu select Data → Get Data → Query Options.

Set the privacy level for the current workbook.

Alternatively, set this Globally on your computer.
